Merry Christmas

Louie Update

Louie is doing much better. He is more and more himself, especially today. There is something to be said about having a long tongue, even with his collar on he was able to drink water!
The collar is now off and he seems to be sleeping better and is no longer hitting corners as he maneuvers around!

Louie is home

Louie came home last night. He has stitches which will be taken out in two weeks. In the meantime, the hospital gave us strict instructions to keep him calm. For those of you who know Louie, you know how impossible that is; keeping him from jumping on sofas, on beds, going up and down stairs, playing with his ball and barking at passing dogs. Our solution has been to put a gate in front of one sofa, and put Patrick's bulky toys on another. Let's see how long that works!
In any case, Louie is glad to be home and we are all very happy to have him back. Gatsby seems reassured that things are back to normal (even if he got a lot of sleep with Louie away), and Patrick keeps smiling when he sees Louie.

Come home fast

Louie had surgery last night for a stone in his bladder. We just got a call from the hospital who said he was recovering well. We hope he will be well enough to come home later today.
Who else can keep up with Patrick besides Louie? We want our four legged bundle of energy to come home, we miss him.

I am 10 months old

I can roll like the best of them and even do a commando crawl if I really want something out of my reach. This past week I also learned to walk with somebody holding me. So please visit, my parents are getting tired of holding me all day to help me walk!

Happy Halloween, a little late

We never did get passed putting on a pig's hat on Patrick for Halloween. In fact, the boys were more fully dressed in their Jack O Lantern shirts that Loren gave them.

Patrick receives a visit from Noreen and Nana

Patrick has eyes only for his great Aunt Noreen. She along with his great grandmother, Nana, visited us yesterday for lunch.

We are off for a while. Patrick is going to Paris with his parents and Gatsby and Louie are going to stay with their friends of their friends' parents.

8 months old

Wow, I am in a big boy chair now,

and I can put both my hands on the armrests.

I can even lean forward no arms holding me.

This is fun, let's do it again next month!

It is not easy feeding a curious and squirmy little boy when you can't even see his face! Patrick kept reaching for the spoon and the jar.

Gatsby and Louie's birthday party

On Sunday we had a wonderful party for the boys. All of their friends came (6 pugs and 1 boxer) and the human ones too!

Goodbye

Sunday we said goodbye to Clotilde. She came over a month ago to be Patrick's au pair. Not only did Patrick loved her, we loved having her too! Patrick was always trying to make her laugh, it was very cute.
